Trust Is Everything — Choosing Who Has Access to Your Server

One of the biggest mistakes new server owners make is giving too many people access too quickly. Not everyone has the same intentions, and one wrong move can cost you valuable time, money, and even your community’s trust.

Before granting admin permissions, FTP access, or control over key resources, make sure you know and trust the people you’re bringing on board. Start with a small, reliable team and build up slowly as your community grows.

Remember: your server is like your home. You wouldn’t hand your house keys to a stranger — so don’t hand over your server files or permissions without confidence.
